CIIF 2026 Sets Record Attendance
CIIF 2026 Sets Record Attendance and International Participation as Smart Manufacturing Paradigm Takes Center Stage
The 26th China International Industry Fair (CIIF) successfully concluded on October 16 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), setting historical records across trade engagement, international participation, and digital reach.
Centered on the theme "Smart Economy, Boundless Manufacturing," CIIF 2026 solidified its status as a premier global industrial event. As of October 16 at 14:00, trade visits reached 255,600—a 14.1% increase compared to the previous edition, coming from 170 countries and regions. Among them, overseas visits reached 21,500, 3.12 times that of the previous edition, with the top 10 overseas countries and regions being South Korea, Russia, Thailand, Japan, Germany, Malaysia, Brazil, Canada, Turkey, and Singapore. Total online exposure surpassed 3.618 billion impressions, up 56.35% year-on-year.
A Global Benchmark for Industrial Excellence
Spanning 311,600 square meters across 10 theme shows, CIIF 2026 convened 3,247 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions. The five-day event featured a high-level opening ceremony, 12 keynote industry forums, and 225 concurrent events, drawing strategic insights from 21 domestic and foreign academicians.
Systemic Synergy Driving Advanced Manufacturing
CIIF 2026 underscored a pivotal transition in advanced manufacturing—shifting from standalone digital solutions toward full-system synergy across "chips, software, machinery, and production lines." Guided by physical AI, embodied intelligence, and computing power, industrial systems are evolving into closed-loop ecosystems managed by smart factories and multi-element integration.
Multinational enterprises and foreign trade visitors increasingly viewed Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta as an innovation origin and real-world proving ground for next-generation manufacturing paradigms. Overseas trade visitors emphasized the practical, production-line readiness of displayed technologies, demonstrating China’s transition from process alignment to systemic architecture definition.
Over its 26 editions, CIIF has served as a mirror recording the evolution of advanced manufacturing. CIIF 2026 demonstrated that global manufacturing is increasingly orchestrating around full-chain synergy, establishing actionable standards and reproducible paradigms for the global smart economy.
